0-4-0 Lake Georgia & Boulder Loco
Option #1 (Rear Only) use #831 / #1831:
Remove old coupler. Ribs on gear box shank must be removed. Position assembled coupler on center with lid against back of loco and mark for two mounting holes. drill 3/32" holes and secure with 2 #4 x 3/8" screws. Check height, if too low place white .010" shim under rear of gear box to tip up.

0-4-0 Lake Georgia & Boulder Loco
Option #2 (Rear Only) use #832 / #1832:
Remove old coupler. Assemble coupler and gearbox. Install gearbox centering spring w/o using retainer cap. the bushing included in the packet must be glued into the hole of the gear box shank (polyzap works good). After it dries the gear box shank can be slipped into the slot and the original screw used to hold it in place. Do not tighten screw. Leave loose so coupler will pivot on screw. Test centering action. If needed, one or both of the spring legs can be bent for more tension.
Passenger cars
use #831 / #1831:
Do not cut boss off of coupler draw bar. Position assembled coupler and mark for new screw hole. Drill a 3/32" hole and secure with #4x3/8" screw. Check height, if too low place a folded white .010" shim under rear of gear box to tip up.
