Pull Test
Take 2 couplers and couple them together, can be mounted on cars or like the photo on the previous page. Try to pull the couplers apart. You can also weigh cars down and see how may cars each can pull.
Park Test
Park 2 cars coupled together on a tight curve over night. Then test their coupling and uncoupling performance and centering action.
Run Test
Run Kadee® Coupler cars and "Clone" Coupler cars on a track. Be fair, use all the same cars, testing them at separate times and see results. (poor trackage will give false results)
Installation Test
Install a Kadee® coupler on one end of a car and install a "Clone" on the other end of the car. Compare how the coupler fits the Gear Box and Post. Compare the centerline to a height gauge and check for coupler droop and make any necessary adjustments.
