The #11221 mounts at #1-Scale coupler height on the #830 G-Scale platform³ provided by many manufacturers. All you have to do is attach the Actuated Body Mount Coupler² with Gearbox to your #830 body mount platform¹ height, plug the Servo into a mounted #11130 Servo Controller (sold separately) that has been wired to function with your controllers' auxiliary output function and you are ready to Remote Uncouple Anywhere*. ¹ Some cars may require additional modifications that the Basic Starter Kit is not equipped to convert.
² Use our #829 or 1929 #1-Scale Height Gauge to check for the correct coupler height and trip pin clearance.
³ Use the wedge side of the #880 or #980 G-Scale Coupler Height Gauge to determine #830 G-Scale platform height.

Coupler Conversion Info You must first identify the locomotive or rolling stocks manufacturer and type before looking the product up on the Large-Scale Coupler Conversions. Use the Large-Scale Coupler Conversions to lookup our suggested starting coupler* for the particular model. (Our conversions typically require the least modification to a model utilizing our newest couplers even though other couplers also work for the model). Once you have looked at our suggested starting coupler you can use our Large-Scale Coupler Conversions (How -To instructions and diagrams) to help you with the couplers installation process. Always check the G-Scale coupler heights with either our #880 or Type "E" #980 Coupler Height Gauge & #1-Scale coupler heights with either our #829 or Type "E" #1929 Coupler Height Gauge. *Our conversion’s based on only one model from a production run, there may be inconsistencies in a model’s production run that require a different coupler or model modifications to achieve the proper coupler height for coupler function.
